The reference for the LSTO type NILOS Ring is given by thge internal and external diameters (in mm) followed by the LSTO suffix 
For example: the LSTO NILOS Ring for the 6204 bearing is: 20 x 47 LSTO

Nilos Rings sealing properties are very efficient, blocking impurities from getting into the bearings and holding lubricants inside. Some other advantages are:

  • Noiseless and frictionless;
  • Long and narrow factory lubricated labyrinths;
  • Capable of axial and radial movement to compensate vibrations, slack and axis/bushing misalignment;
  • Made entirely of flexible metal with increasing sealing effect (ISE);
  • Unlimited peripheral speed;
  • Do not require finishing of contact surface;
  • High temperature resistant;
  • Reduced height, allowing simpler and more compact bushings;
  • Do not require adaptations or machining for use after project completion;
  • High durability and resistance;
  • Drastically reduce maintenance stops and bearing replacements;
  • Increase the life span of bearings and lubricants.

As installation and adjustments of type LSTO NILOS Rings interfere in the internal diameter (axis) and the external diameter (bushing), installation can only be achieved with the help of a tool, as shown in the picture to the right.

Solid-Steel Rims

Type LSTO NILOS Rings have their internal and external diameter rims made entirely of steel, which gives them great resistance, allowing them to endure, in these aspects, the same strains suffered by the bearings.

Ideal Assembly Side

Type LSTO NILOS Rings DO NOT require a specific side for them to be mounted.

LSTO Rings are made of steel discs combined to create a triple radial micro-labyrinth, filled with lubricant. LSTO Rings are contact-free: their operation do not rely on friction of its parts on the bearing to provide efficient sealing. They are ideal for high contamination level environments and also applications that demand low noise and low friction levels.
